Story / Description

Jolly LLB 3 opens with the Indian legal system under heavy public criticism after a series of high-profile corporate frauds and political cover-ups. Justice Sunderlal Tripathi, now semi-retired, is brought back to lead a special fast-track court dedicated to cases where common citizens have been robbed of justice.

Into this courtroom walks two Jollys, both with different ideologies, different methods, and different moral lines they refuse to cross.

Jolly Mishra (Akshay Kumar) is sharp, fearless, and aggressive—he believes in exposing corruption at any cost, even if it means bending the rules of investigation.
Jolly Tyagi (Arshad Warsi) is clever, emotional, and grounded—he believes justice should come through honesty, logic, and ethics.

The story kicks off when a massive pharmaceutical scam kills several children due to a banned chemical compound being illegally mixed in a syrup. The company behind the drug is protected by powerful politicians and an army of high-paid lawyers led by Manoj Bajpayee’s character, Adv. Pratap Singh, a corporate legal “shark.”

The victims’ families approach Jolly Tyagi, who sincerely takes the case. But the government, desperate to save the corporation, appoints Jolly Mishra as the “Official Court Lawyer,” creating a clash between the two Jollys.

The film’s courtroom sequences become legendary—sharp arguments, sarcasm, emotional breakdowns, intense cross-examinations, and hilarious moments with Judge Tripathi constantly losing patience.

As the case evolves, both Jollys uncover separate layers of corruption. A whistleblower pharmacist is murdered. A hidden lab exposes the illegal chemical. An investigative journalist (Yamini Gautam) provides crucial evidence. Slowly, both Jollys realize they are not enemies—they are being played against each other.

In the second half, the conspiracy hits harder when it’s revealed that the pharmaceutical company has ties to government ministers. Files are destroyed, witnesses disappear, and even Jolly Mishra gets threatened. For the first time, the two Jollys team up secretly.

The climax is a powerful 40-minute courtroom showdown.

  • Jolly Tyagi presents emotional, fact-based arguments.

  • Jolly Mishra delivers bold, aggressive accusations.

  • Pratap Singh (Manoj Bajpayee) uses every legal trick to crush them.

  • Judge Tripathi handles chaos with comedic brilliance.

Finally, with combined evidence and a shocking video leak from the journalist, the corporation’s CEO and political partners are exposed. Justice Tripathi passes one of the strongest verdicts in the franchise—lifetime bans, shutdown of the pharma company, and compensation to the victims.

The film ends with both Jollys sitting outside the court, joking that India has space for both types of lawyers—one who follows the rules, and one who challenges them.
